In progress -
Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Apr 8, 00:00 EDT
As an admin of a Salesforce org on the NA30 instance, we want to inform you that we are performing a site switch on the instance on April 7.
The maintenance is scheduled between:
9:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. US Pacific Time on Saturday, April 7, 2018
Performing this site switch will help to ensure that you continue to receive the same levels of performance you have come to expect from Salesforce.
After this site switch, your active instance location will be in our Washington data center and your ready instance location will be in our Chicago data center. Your instance name will not change.
During the maintenance, your instance will be available in read-only mode, meaning users can’t add, edit, or delete data on their org(s) during this window. For more information on what read-only access allows, see our Read-Only Mode Overview article.
What action do I need to take?
If you already follow our infrastructure best practices by not restricting access to Salesforce IP ranges and setting your DNS timeout value to 5 minutes (default setting), a site switch should be seamless to your users. Otherwise, if you are restricting access to certain IP ranges or data centers, update your network settings to include the complete list of Salesforce IP ranges from the What are the Salesforce IP Addresses to whitelist? article in order to avoid any unintended service disruptions following a site switch.
If you control your DNS timeout values set, then you may need to refresh your DNS cache and restart any integrations following the maintenance.
If you use Live Agent, make sure Live Agent server endpoints are updated after the site switch. Details on this and other FAQs can be found in the Site Switching Overview article.
We will update customers via the Trust site when the site switch has started and completed and recommend subscribing to Trust Notifications to stay informed of maintenance updates.
